Ugthorpe & Hutton Mulgrave Parish Council area is situated in the North York Moors National Park and sits in between the A171 and A174. It is a beautiful landscape that is predominantly farmland with woodland areas, home to a wide variety of flora and fauna. The parish council has limited functions ie maintaining its assets such as seats, noticeboards; responding to planning consultations; and holding North Yorkshire Council (NYC) accountable for its responsibilities within the parish. With the majority of functions being the responsibility of North Yorkshire Council ie waste, highways, street lights and so on, residents can report issues direct to North Yorkshire Council via the online portal or by telephone: 03001312131. NYC Cllr David Chance is the representative for the NYC Danby and Mulgrave Electoral Division, in which residents of Ugthorpe and Hutton Mulgrave parishes sit, and issues can be reported directly to him by phone: 07773 652393 or by email: cllr.david.chance@northyorks.gov.uk. The planning authority for the parish is NYMNPA and the NYMNPA planning website provides details on submission and consultations, alternatively you can telephone: 01439 772700 or email: general@northyorkmoors.org.uk .
